What we've learnt so far at Berkshire Jelly

We've only had two Berkshire Jelly co-working events so far, but we've already learnt a whole lot! Here are a few of the lessons we've learned and resources we've discovered.

Lessons learnt
  • Don't bring a long To Do list! There's a lot of interaction and plenty of information flying around, so you'll probably find your list increasing rather than decreasing!
  • The co-working event isn't for networking, so try to keep any sales pitches to other events.
  • Confused about something? Want to know more about something? Ask! Everyone is friendly and someone usually knows the answer or can help you discover more.
Useful Resources
  • HootSuite: For bringing together all your social networks, using analytics on your tweets and Facebook links.
  • Pixlr: For grabbing and editing images directly from your Firefox browser.
  • iGoogle: Homepage for your Google reader, mail, documents, RSS feed and thousands of gadgets for your everyday work.
  • LinkedIn: Sarah Cooper from ApproachTheMarket gave us a fantastic tutorial on how to get the best out of your LinkedIn profile.
That's just a few of the resources and tips we've picked up. If you've attended Berkshire Jelly before and learnt something new, let us know in the comments section!
